2-hydroxyisoflavanone synthase, which catalyzes the hydroxylation associated with 1,2-aryl migration of flavanones. Converts liquiritigenin and naringenin into highly unstable precursors of the isoflavones daidzein and genistein. Acts only on substrates with (2S)-chirality.
