In female gametophyte, is necessary for the egg cell and central cell fate determination and hence reproductive success. Involved in a mechanism that prevents accessory cells from adopting gametic cell fate. Is necessary to restrict LIS expression to interfere with egg-cell specification (PubMed:18702672). Probable component of U5 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) that is required for pre-mRNA splicing. Plays an essential role in female gametogenesis and embryo development (PubMed:19261069). <p>The checksum is a form of redundancy check that is calculated from the sequence.
