Functioni

A psychrophilic enzyme that oxidizes mainly primary and secondary aliphatic alcohols, as well as large bulky alcohols. Also catalyzes the reduction of ketones and aldehydes but in lower rates than the oxidations. The enzyme reduces stereospecifically 2-butanone to produce (s)-2-butanol.Curated
