Basic phospholipase A2 textilotoxin A chain
Functioni
Snake venom oligomeric phospholipase A2 that has potent presynaptic neurotoxicity. Chain A possesses a very low toxicity, but is essential for neurotoxicity. Possesses a low enzymatic activity. PLA2 catalyzes the calcium-dependent hydrolysis of the 2-acyl groups in 3-sn-phosphoglycerides.
