Snake venom phospholipase A2 (PLA2) that shows enzymatic, indirect hemolytic and anticoagulant activities. Interestingly, anti-PFIIc'serum completely inhibits anticoagulant activity, partially inhibits the indirect hemolytic activity, but does not inhibit enzymatic activity. PLA2 catalyzes the calcium-dependent hydrolysis of the 2-acyl groups in 3-sn-phosphoglycerides.
