Functioni

Alpha-conotoxins act on postsynaptic membranes, they bind to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) and thus inhibit them. Is a specific blocker of the alpha-3/beta-4 nAChR and may also block alpha-3/beta-4/alpha-5 channels. Causes hyperactivity and behavioral disorders in mice following intracranial injection.1 Publication
