Gene counti
This is the total number of unique genes found in the proteome set, algorithmically computed. For each gene, a single representative protein sequence is chosen from the proteome. Where possible, reviewed (Swiss-Prot) protein sequences are chosen as the representatives.
- Download one protein sequence per gene (FASTA)
Proteome IDi
The proteome identifier (UPID) is the unique identifier assigned to the set of proteins that constitute the proteome. It consists of the characters ‘UP’ followed by 9 digits, is stable across releases and can therefore be used to cite a UniProt proteome.
UP000006695

Geobacter uraniireducens is a Gram-negative, microaerophilic rod that belongs to the delta subdivision of the Proteobacteria. Strain Rf4 was isolated from an in-situ uranium bioremediation study site in Rifle, Colorado. It has the ability to reduce uranium and iron using acetate and other organic acids as the electron donor, therefore promoting the reduction of uranium concentrations in contaminated sites. Unlike previously described Geobacter species, G. uraniireducens exhibits much slower growth rates and has 2-4 unusually long flagella (up to 16 micrometers).
