Proteome IDi
The proteome identifier (UPID) is the unique identifier assigned to the set of proteins that constitute the proteome. It consists of the characters ‘UP’ followed by 9 digits, is stable across releases and can therefore be used to cite a UniProt proteome.
UP000002382

Kosmotoga olearia (strain TBF 19.5.1) is a Gram-negative bacterium isolated from an oil deposit and has a broad temperature growth range, so it is useful for comparative structural biology of thermophilic and mesophilic proteins as well as learning about oil deposit ecosystems. It has the characteristic morphology of one or more cells contained in a sheath-like envelope which extends beyond the cell wall.
