Proteinsi <p>Number of protein entries associated with this proteome: UniProtKB entries for regular proteomes or UniParc entries for redundant proteomes (<a href="/help/proteome%5Fredundancy">more...</a>)</p> 6,169
Gene counti <p>This is the total number of unique genes found in the proteome set, algorithmically computed. For each gene, a single representative protein sequence is chosen from the proteome. Where possible, reviewed (Swiss-Prot) protein sequences are chosen as the representatives.</p> - Download one protein sequence per gene (FASTA)
Proteome IDi <p>The proteome identifier (UPID) is the unique identifier assigned to the set of proteins that constitute the <a href="http://www.uniprot.org/manual/proteomes%5Fmanual">proteome</a>. It consists of the characters 'UP' followed by 9 digits, is stable across releases and can therefore be used to cite a UniProt proteome.<p><a href='/help/proteome_id' target='_top'>More...</a></p>UP000001976

CompletenessStandard

Gram-negative nitrogen-fixing bacteria living in soil and able to establish a symbiosis with host plants from the genera Medicago, Melilotus and Trigonella leading to the formation of nodules on roots. Its genome contains three replicons, a chromosome and two plasmids. Strain 1021 is a commonly used laboratory strain.

Strain Sm1021 is closely related to another sequenced bacterium Sm2011 (SUNM2). Both strains are independent spontaneous streptomycin-resistant derivatives of the parental SU47 strain. Despite their derivation from a single parental strain, a number of phenotypic differences have been reported between them (adapted from PMID 23599422).
