Pan proteomei This proteome is part of the Methanococcus aeolicus (strain ATCC BAA-1280 / DSM 17508 / OCM 812 / Nankai-3) pan proteome (fasta)

Methanococcus aeolicus (strain Nankai-3 / ATCC BAA-1280) is an anaerobic archaeon of the phylum Euryarchaeota. It was isolated from deep marine sediment from the Nankai Trough off the coast of Japan. This organism is a methanogen, able to use hydrogen or formate to reduce CO2. Strain Nankai-3 is the type strain and will be used for comparative analysis.
