Host lipid dropletHost cell

The host lipid droplet is a dynamic cytoplasmic host organelle which consists of an heterogeneous macromolecular assembly of lipids and proteins covered by a unique phospholipid monolayer. They may play a role in host lipid metabolism and storage, and they may be involved in the regulation of intracellular trafficking and signal transduction.
