Function

Protein phosphatase which is essential for embryogenesis. Is required for centrosome maturation and is involved in gametogenesis. Required for meiotic spindle formation during spermatogenesis and for chiasmata formation during oogenesis. However, is apparently dispensable for female meiotic divisions, which do not depend on centrosomes. Ref.1
