Function

Microtubule-associated force-producing protein involved in clathrin-mediated vesicle trafficking from the trans-Golgi network to the central vacuole. Able to bind and hydrolyze GTP. Binds specifically to phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate (PtdIns3P). Ref.1 Ref.4 Ref.5

Catalytic activity

GTP + H2O = GDP + phosphate.

Subunit structure

Binds PtdIns3P. Interacts with SH3P3 protein. May homooligomerize or heterooligomerize. Ref.5 Ref.7
