Expressed in spleen, stomach, liver, kidney and testis. In the pancreas, expressed in islet cells, including insulin-producing beta-cells, but not in acinar cells (at protein level). In the brain, expressed in the neuronal cells of the cerebral cortex, the Purkinje cells of the cerebellum and the hippocampal region including CA1 and CA3 (at protein level).2 Publications

Expressed in 6.5 to 18.5 dpc embryos and transiently up-regulated from 11.5 to 13.5 dpc. In the developing brain, up-regulated 2 weeks postnatally, with gradual decrease thereafter. Still detectable at 52 weeks.1 Publication
