Functioni

UDPGTs are of major importance in the conjugation and subsequent elimination of potentially toxic xenobiotics and endogenous compounds. This isozyme has glucuronidating capacity on estriol and does not catalyze the glucuronidation of beta-estradiol. Capable of conjugating 4-hydroxyestrone, androsterone, diclofenac, and hyodeoxycholic acid.

UDP-glucuronate + acceptor = UDP + acceptor beta-D-glucuronoside.
