Miscellaneous

The gain-of-function mutants chs3-1 show no visible phenotype when grown at the permissive temperature of 22 degrees Celsius. Mutant plants (chs3-1) germinated and grown at 16 degrees Celsius show developmental defects, including dwarfism, with small and curly leaves, early senescence of cotyledons, constitutively activated defense responses and enhanced tolerance to freezing temperatures.1 Publication
