Tissue specificityi

The highest level is detected in the uterus. In the central nervous system, high expression levels were found in the hypothalamus and moderate levels in both the medulla oblongata and spinal cord. Expressed in the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN) and suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) of the hypothalamus. Expression is low in the gastrointestinal tract. In other peripheral tissues, moderate expression was observed in the lung and ovary.3 Publications
