Receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TRAIL. Lacks a cytoplasmic death domain and hence is not capable of inducing apoptosis. May protect cells against TRAIL mediated apoptosis through ligand competition. Cannot induce the NF-kappa-B pathway.1 Publication
