Functioni

The primary product of this enzyme is 4,2',4',6'-tetrahydroxychalcone (also termed naringenin-chalcone or chalcone) which can under specific conditions spontaneously isomerize into naringenin. Substrate preference is feruloyl-CoA = caffeoyl-CoA >> cinnamoyl-CoA.
