Protein

Endothelial transcription factor GATA-2

Gene

Gata2

Organism
Rattus norvegicus (Rat)
Status
Reviewed-Annotation score: Annotation score: 5 out of 5-Experimental evidence at protein leveli

Functioni

Transcriptional activator which regulates endothelin-1 gene expression in endothelial cells. Binds to the consensus sequence 5'-AGATAG-3' (By similarity). Plays an important role in the regulation of phagocytosis in alveolar macrophages, particularly during P.carinii infection.By similarity1 Publication
