Induction

Expression is dependent upon the presence of the cell wall integrity pathway mitogen-activated protein kinase SLT2 and its downstream transcription factor RLM1. Ref.5

Disruption phenotype

Hypersensitive to cell wall-perturbing agent calcofluor white (CFW) at 37 degrees Celsius. A similar phenotype is observed at 30 degrees Celsius, although the severity is decreased. Decreased expression of genes contributing to cell wall organization during vegetative growth. Ref.5
