Functioni

Transcription factor. Involved in epidermal cell fate specification. Negative regulator of trichome development, including endoreplication, by lateral inhibition involving intercellular interactions. Promotes the formation of hair developing cells (trichoblasts) in H position in root epidermis, probably by inhibiting non-hair cell (atrichoblasts) formation.2 Publications
