Rhomboid protease-like protein which has no protease activity but regulates the secretion of several ligands of the epidermal growth factor receptor. Indirectly activates the epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway and may thereby regulate sleep, cell survival, proliferation and migration. Ref.6
