Protein

Alpha-conotoxin-like Qc1.2

Gene
N/A
Organism
Conus quercinus (Oak cone)
Status
Reviewed-Annotation score: Annotation score: 3 out of 5-Experimental evidence at transcript leveli

Functioni

Alpha-conotoxins bind to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) and inhibit them. This synthetic peptide (10 µM) selectively, but weakly inhibits both rat neuronal alpha-3-beta-2/CHRNA3-CHRNB2 (63%) and alpha-3-beta-4/CHRNA3-CHRNB4 (37%) subtypes of nAChR.1 Publication
