Functioni

Specifically hydrolyzes 'Lys-29'-linked and 'Lys-33'-linked diubiquitin. Also cleaves 'Lys-63'-linked chains, but with 40-fold less efficiency compared to 'Lys-29'-linked ones. Positive regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway that deubiquitinates APC protein, a negative regulator of Wnt-mediated transcription. May play a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Required in the stress fiber dynamics and cell migration (By similarity).By similarity

Thiol-dependent hydrolysis of ester, thioester, amide, peptide and isopeptide bonds formed by the C-terminal Gly of ubiquitin (a 76-residue protein attached to proteins as an intracellular targeting signal).
