Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. May play a role in resistance to fungal infection in the epidermis by regulating the up-regulation of several antimicrobial peptides of the NLP and CNC families (PubMed:22470487).Curated1 Publication
