Tissue specificity

Expressed in bladder, lung, duodenum, kidney, uterus, thymus, salivary gland, testis, prostate, macrophages, aorta, spleen and heart.

Induction

By lipopolysaccharide (LPS), four hours after treatment levels show an increase in many tissues. After 12 hours maximum levels are observed in the heart. Ref.1 Ref.2
