Functioni

Damages membranes of susceptible bacteria. Has antibacterial activity against the Gram-positive bacteria B.megaterium and S.warneri. Has no antibacterial activity against the Gram-positive bacteria B.thuringiensis, S.aureus and S.clavuligerus, or the Gram-negative bacteria E.coli and A.tumefaciens. Has no hemolytic activity. Not toxic to mice. Does not inhibit the proteinases elastase and cathepsin G.1 Publication
