Defensins 6 and 7 have bacteriostatic activity against Gram-positive bacteria S.aureus and L.monocytogenes and Gram-negative bacterium E.coli and antifungal activity against C.neoformans. Defensin 7 has microbicidial activity against Gram-positive bacteria S.aureus and L.monocytogenes.
