    Catalyzes the conversion of acetaldehyde to acetyl-CoA, using NAD+ and coenzyme A. Is the final enzyme in the meta-cleavage pathway for the degradation of 3-phenylpropanoate. Functions as a chaperone protein for folding of MhpE.1 Publication
