General annotation (Comments)

Function

Required for production of the bacteriocin subtilosin. May activate a metalloenzyme that catalyzes a modification of prosubtilosin. Ref.4 Ref.5

Cofactor

Binds 1 4Fe-4S cluster. The cluster is coordinated with 3 cysteines and an exchangeable S-adenosyl-L-methionine By similarity.

Induction

Transcription is highly induced by oxygen limitation and is under dual and independent control of Spo0A-AbrB and ResDE. Ref.6
