Expressed exclusively in neurons (at protein level). In all age groups, expressed at significantly higher levels in the medial prefrontal and orbital frontal cortices of spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), a model of attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, than Wistar Kyoto (WKY) animals. In the motor cortex, dorsal striatum and nucleus accumbens, expression is significantly elevated in SHR only in younger animals.2 Publications
