General annotation (Comments)

Function

Has phosphatidylinositol transfer activity. Involved in the regulation of the phospholipid composition of plasma- and endomembranes. Altering plasma membrane composition may provide a possible mechanism for multidrug resistance. Contributes to efficient phospholipase D1 activation and phospholipase B1 inhibition in the regulation of phospholipid turnover. Ref.4 Ref.5 Ref.6

Subcellular location

Cytoplasm Ref.7 Ref.8.

Miscellaneous

Present with 5040 molecules/cell in log phase SD medium. Ref.9
