Caution

Product of a dubious gene prediction. Present in the 5'-UTR of plasma membrane ATPase 1 (PMA1), it contains two upstream activating sequences (UAS) that are important for the expression of PMA1.
Was originally (1 Publication) thought to function in polyamine resistance, hence the name BRP1, but this phenotype was later (1 Publication) attributed to down-regulation of PMA1.
