Developmental stagei

Expressed only in the liver of young adult animals (100 days old) and is absent in the prepubertal male (27 days old), senescent male (800 days old) and female liver.

Inductioni

Induced by androgens and suppressed by estrogens. The expression is under the influence of pituitary growth hormone and thyroid hormone. Is regulated by progesterone in the uterus.
