    Cytoplasmic aldehyde dehydrogenase involved in ethanol oxidation. Required for pantothenic acid production through the conversion of 3-aminopropanal to beta-alanine, an intermediate in pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and coenzyme A (CoA) biosynthesis.1 Publication
