General annotation (Comments)

Function

Component of the RAVE complex, which is required for stable assembly of the vacuolar APTase complex V-ATPase under many conditions. Required for transport between the early endosome and the late endosome/prevacuolar compartment (PVC), suggesting that assembly of vacuolar ATPase at the early endosome is required for transport from the early endosome to the PVC. Ref.4 Ref.5 Ref.6

Subunit structure

Component of the RAVE complex composed of RAV1, RAV2 and CBF3D/SKP1. Within the complex, it interacts directly with RAV2 and CBF3D. Interacts with the V-ATPase V1 subunits VMA1, VMA2 and VMA8. Ref.4

Subcellular location

Endomembrane system. Note: Probably membrane-associated, associates with high density membrane compartment like early endosomes. Ref.6

Miscellaneous

Present with 149 molecules/cell in log phase SD medium. Ref.7

Sequence similarities

Contains 8 WD repeats.
