Functioni

Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. The gamma chain is found at microtubule organizing centers (MTOC) such as the spindle poles or the centrosome, suggesting that it is involved in the minus-end nucleation of microtubule assembly.1 Publication
Gamma-tubulin complex is essential for the control of microtubular network remodeling in the course of initiation and development of giant-feeding cells, and for the successful reproduction of nematodes (e.g. Meloidogyne spp.) in their plant hosts.1 Publication
