Protein PBN1

Gene

PBN1

Organism
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain ATCC 204508 / S288c) (Baker's yeast)
Status
Reviewed-Annotation score: Annotation score: 5 out of 5-Experimental evidence at protein leveli

Functioni

Required for proper folding and/or the stability of a subset of proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum. Aids the autocatalytic processing of PRB1. Component of glycosylphosphatidylinositol-mannosyltransferase 1 which transfers the first of the 4 mannoses in the GPI-anchor precursors during GPI-anchor biosynthesis. Probably acts by stabilizing the mannosyltransferase GPI14.3 Publications

Pathway: glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor biosynthesis

This protein is involved in the pathway glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor biosynthesis, which is part of Glycolipid biosynthesis.
View all proteins of this organism that are known to be involved in the pathway glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor biosynthesis and in Glycolipid biosynthesis.
