Functioni

Kappa-conotoxins bind and inhibit voltage-gated potassium channels. When injected intraperitoneally in fish, SIVA induces a period of rapid swimming followed by a spastic paralysis with stiff fibrillating fins. At high doses, the peptide is lethal to both fish and mice.1 Publication
