Functioni

Catalyzes the omega-hydroxylation of various fatty acids (FA). Acts on saturated and unsaturated fatty acids with chain lengths from C12 to C18. May be involved in the biosynthesis of cutin in the epidermis which prevents post-genital organ fusions. Hydroxylated FAs may be important for trichome differentiation, establishment of apical dominance and senescence.3 Publications
