Definition

A form of Sotos syndrome, a childhood overgrowth syndrome characterized by prenatal and postnatal overgrowth, developmental delay, mental retardation, advanced bone age, and abnormal craniofacial morphology. SOTOS3 patients do not have advanced bone age, hypotonia, seizures, or autism. SOTOS3 transmission pattern is consistent with autosomal recessive inheritance.
